What was your most interesting job before you started in real estate?
I was a nanny for a wonderful family with two children.

Where did you grow up?
Cordoba, Spain.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I would say “a teacher”.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Spa, cooking, long walks, cleaning.

If you could meet one well-known personality (living or not), who would it be and why?
Will Smith for his tenacity to fight adversity and his creativity to think outside the box and always be ahead of the game.

What do you like the most in the industry?
The opportunity to meet new people all the time and of course, to give our hard working guests the keys to their new home.

How do you stand out from the crowd of agents?
I really care. Being a knowledgeable resource for my clients so they can make an informed decision is essential to me.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Find time to relax and take care of yourself.

What’s your best tip for generating new leads?
I’ve always said that the foundation of any sustainable sales business should be referrals, so nurturing your relationships with past clients, referral partners, and friends would be my #1 tip.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
I recently became a published author: “Latinas in Real Estate.”

What have you been watching/reading/listening to lately?
Audible has been one of my best friends for two years. We drive a lot and I use that time to listen to books. I book on average once a month. I also like to watch Tom Ferry on YouTube for learning purposes.
For fun… Netflix or Amazon Prime for classic movies!

What’s your favorite meal in Chicago?
I am a real foodie! It is difficult to decide. Rollapalooza in Lakeview is my favorite sushi spot.

Architecturally, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
The Grandstand Tower.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s happened to you at work?
I visited an estate sale with lots of handcuffs, surgical books, big knives, wooden boxes and so many other “scary” items. The most crazy ? We submitted an offer.

What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I moved to the United States on my own with $75 in my pocket and went through many hardships…

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Thailand. This country is just “soothing the soul”. Their people, their nature, their teas, their food, their culture attract me a lot.

In 10 words or less, what advice would you give to someone starting out in the industry?
Learn something every day, find a mentor, nurture your relationships.

What’s your favorite real estate app for iPhone/Android?
Cloth. It’s really not a real estate app per se, but we’re marketers and having a consistent and engaging social media brand is also key.
