Those who have come to love the friendly, comprehensive business provided by Air Technical Services will be happy to know that the company has added an electrical division to its trusted name. Those who have never used the service will be delighted to find a one-stop-shop for heating, plumbing and electrical needs.

The company, established in 1999, is headquartered on both Long Beach Island and Barnegat and has over 30 years of combined HVAC service and installation experience.

Ray Dietrich, who for many years was a large business owner in Monmouth County, took over Air Tech in 2017 and continues to deliver on his promise to grow the business and its services.

Air Tech prides itself on being a reliable and ethical company and a credible resource for the greater LBI region. All costs are reflected as an initial lump sum, to avoid surprises later.

The company offers HVAC services and installations for residential and commercial properties. Services offered year-round include air quality and filter assessments, humidifier installation, radiant heating, thermostat installation, air conditioning maintenance and repair, and of the furnace, as well as the installation, repair and maintenance of the plumbing.

“HVAC and plumbing have always been our core businesses. Electricity has always been part of our business and we have always had to rely on other electricians to do this work,” Dietrich explained. As such, it was only natural for the growing company to add an electrical license to its repertoire. “So now we’re a one-stop-shop entrepreneur,” he explained. “We have three electricians with 80 years of experience between them.”

What many people don’t realize is that a job like, say, central air installation means hiring multiple contractors and even applying for multiple permits to do the job. Often, a problem with one part of this process can stall a project for weeks or, worse, months. “Something like that, we’d take care of everything – the electricity, the city permits, the cooling, everything.” Customers can be assured that a project carried out by Air Tech is a smooth operation, from start to finish. not to mention that having everything in one service saves customers money.

The company keeps its warehouse stocked so people rarely wait for a part to arrive, a problem that has plagued the world since the pandemic.

Air Tech also offers a home monitoring janitorial program for LBI residents, designed as additional equipment in addition to routine maintenance. The program offers weekly and/or bi-weekly interior and exterior inspections of properties on the island.

“A big part of our business is real estate,” Dietrich said. Specifically, he added, a lot of effort is being made to “respond to tenants and issues with homes.”

Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs don’t answer their phones on weekends, or even during the day. Air Tech representatives are committed to always answering the phone and providing a prompt and courteous response to every call. Technicians are available for emergencies 24/7.

“A lot of real estate agents rely on us in the event of an air failure or plumbing problem,” he explains. Real estate clients receive priority attention, “because there’s nothing worse than a disgruntled tenant who’s spent thousands for a week.”

Whether full-time residents or vacationers, no one wants to spend their summer days waiting for a contractor to show up. They would rather be on the beach. “Our strength is same-day service, even if we have to come at midnight,” Dietrich said.

How do they make this happen? With 30 employees, lots of trucks and a commitment to the customer. The secret to Air Tech’s success is its dedication to fostering these relationships.
