Lynn Giroux

Essex, Connecticut Diane Arnold, president and CEO of Essex Savings Bank, said Lynn Giroux has been promoted to executive vice president, chief operating officer. “Lynn is an invaluable member of the leadership team at Essex Savings Bank and this promotion is well deserved,” said Arnold.

Giroux has 40 years of banking experience, the last 22 with Essex Savings Bank, where she oversees human resources, compliance, branch administration, deposit operations, loan administration, marketing and facilities. In addition to her professional responsibilities, Giroux is an Ambassador and Fellow of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, is a Fellow of the Society for Human Resource Professionals, American Bankers Association, Connecticut Bankers Association, where she also sits on the Committee of organization’s human resources. , and is a former board member of the Camp Hazen YMCA. She has participated as a panelist at the Vermont Bankers Association’s Women in Leadership conference, the Connecticut Bankers Association, and other compliance-related organizations. Giroux is an advocate for the community banking industry.

Giroux was the recipient of the Women of FIRE 2014 (Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate), an award given by The business case to women who have achieved excellence and are making a difference in these traditionally male-dominated fields. Giroux is a graduate of the University of Vermont, as well as the New England School of Banking.
