Terranova Group Recognized for Protecting Two Historic Charlotte Estates

The Terranova Group LLCa Greenville-based real estate developer, announced on August 11 that it had received the 2022 Preserver Award: Top Real Estate Developer from Preserve Mecklenburg Inc.

The company received an award in recognition of its efforts to protect and preserve two historic landmarks in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region:

  • Frank R. McNinch House – a 100-year-old estate said to have been inspired by President George Washington’s home, Mt. Vernon
  • Knowlton Shaw House – a 1928 estate that once housed one of Charlotte’s mayors

In addition to the preservation of these two historic homes, Terranova Group’s master plan includes transforming the grounds of the estates into new residential enclaves, including:
