Mr. Ryan Patrick Waters and his partner, Daniel Doson, are the founders and attorneys of Dodson & Waters LLC. Mr. Waters has seven years of experience in the legal field and takes pride in helping residents resolve issues related to traffic tickets, thefts, expungements, weapons crimes and many other legal issues. He is happy to have established a modern law service in an underserved area to serve his local community. The law firm is located at 212, rue Lafayette in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Growing up, Mr. Waters saw that many lawyers were viewed negatively, and he strove to be a great lawyer to transform the public perception of the work. Mr Waters has been described as an “advocate with passion and heart for leading the change people wanted to see in the world”.

To start his career, Mr. Waters started as an assistant manager at EB Games, where he remained from 2003 to 2005. Mr. Waters then worked at Valhalla’s Gate from 2007-2-11. In 2013, Mr. Waters began a research assistant role in the Office of the Commissioner of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Mr. Waters has experience in numerous cases including violent crime, traffic tickets/violations, theft, disbarment, business law, driver’s license reinstatement, property law – tenant, real estate law and DWI/DUI cases. Most of his cases involve landlord and tenant disputes and the reinstatement and defense of a driver’s license. He is dedicated to fighting hard for all of his clients to achieve the best possible results for each case.

His volunteer work includes helping many underserved communities. Mr. Waters provided pro bono services to the Jefferson City Samaritan Center. He worked as an attorney for the Equal Rights Association Veterans Advocacy Clinic and as a defense liaison with the Cole County Treatment Court.

Prior to opening his law practice, Mr. Waters first earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management and Business Administration in 2009. He later earned a Doctor of Laws University of Missouri, Colombia Faculty of Law in 2014.

Mr. Waters remains associated with the NACL Association, the Cole County Bar Association, the Estate Planning Committee of the Cole County Bar Association and the Thomas Elwood Inns of Court. He was recently recognized for his professional achievements by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers.

Looking to the future, Mr. Waters hopes to expand the law firm and add at least two more legal professionals to the practice.
